<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Yellow Is a Hard Color to Use
Yellow isn't the most common color you might find in a home. When yellow is used, the best way to accent this hue is with a darker earth tone with a strong yellow tint. The darker hue will complement the bright glare of the yellow very nicely.
On the Other: Yellow and Red Earth
Yellow is a bright cheery color that really brightens up a room. Earth colors are fine, but for a really bright and cheery room try a banana or canary yellow offset with a bright red earth color as trim.

A bright yellow can really liven up a place like your kitchen or bathroom, but as far as choosing a complementary color your deeper earth tones are still very popular choices that will be enjoyed by all, especially when they have a hint of the wall color.
