  • Winstrol is the brand name for stanozolol, a man-made steroid that is similar to human testosterone. It is a tablet that is typically prescribed to treat hereditary angioderma, which causes swelling in the face and airways and abdominal cramping.     Hepatic

    Hepatic relates to problems to the liver.     Acne

    Acne is a common and less serious side effect when taking Winstrol, according to Drugs.com. RxList says that acne is especially common in prepubescent boys and women.

    Insomnia

    Insomnia and difficulty sleeping is another common and less serious side effect of taking Winstrol. All side effects should be reported to your doctor, especially if you deem them serious or of a particular concern.
