Nostril hair trimmers are small devices that are used to cut the hairs that grow in the nose. These small hand-held devices are similar in design to electric shaving devices. They can also be used to trim eyebrows or ear hairs.
Slots
Each trimmer has a small cylinder that has slots in it. This part is what is inserted into the nostril. The longer hairs go in the slots and are prevented from bending over by the slots.
Blades
Most trimmers have rotary cutting blades that move in a circular fashion. A few trimmers have blades that move side to side or back and forth. They cut the hairs that enter the slots.
Motor
Trimmers use an electric motor similar to ones in electric shavers powered by one or more batteries.
Batteries
Some trimmers use replaceable batteries and others use rechargeable batteries that are kept in the housing. They are recharged by placing them in a stand that is plugged into an electrical socket or by plugging in the trimmer.
Power Button
The trimmer is turned on by a button or switch on the side of the housing. Some trimmers require that the switch be held at all times to use it.
