  • The sun provides an unlimited source of energy to most living organisms and is the most important source of energy for wildlife and plant life. Although, solar radiation can be a problem, our atmosphere stops a majority of it, making it also safe and clean. Solar energy is also one of the only ways to power space equipment.

    Clean Energy

Solar energy uses solar panels to convert sunlight into electrical energy. There is no byproduct such as carbon dioxide or radiation.

    Unlimited

The sun is considered a renewable infinite resource because it most likely will outlast any other resource available to us.

    Living Organisms

Living organisms such as plants require the sun to continue photosynthesis, the process of creating energy from sunlight. Although this can be done artificially, there is no way to artificially grow every plant on the earth.

    Safe

Using solar panels to convert sunlight into electricity is much safer than alternative methods. No fire, chemicals or radiation are involved, just the electricity that is produced.

    Space

Launching equipment into space requires a lot of energy and fuel, which means more weight. Solar energy allows satellites and exploratory vehicles to use sunlight as a power source.
