Bladder cancer is the formation and growth of abnormal cells in the bladder. This cancer is curable if it caught and diagnosed early. So, you must be aware of the first signs of bladder cancer.
Blood in the Urine
Blood in the urine is the first and most common sign of bladder cancer, occurring in 80 to 90 percent of bladder cancer patients.
Other Signs
Other bladder cancer signs include frequent and painful urination, urinary tract infections, lower back and kidney pain, lower leg swelling, pelvic growth, weight loss, anemia, bone pain or pain the rectum, anus, or pelvis.
Cause
Doctors are not exactly sure what causes bladder cancer. However, they say smoking and certain chemical exposure increases your risk.
Prevention
Bladder cancer can't be prevented but you can lower your risk factors by avoiding smoking, chemical exposure, dehydration, and an unhealthy diet.
Treatment
Different treatments for bladder cancer include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy.
