<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Bagless Vacuums Rate Well
According to Vacuum Wizard, bagless vacuum cleaners are easy and convenient to use, with costs that compare closely to older models that require a bag. Because most come with a clear bin, it is possible to see when it needs to be emptied so excessive dust and refuse don't overfill the bin and diminish the power of the vacuum.
On the Other: Emptying Bagless Vacuums
Bagless vacuums need to be emptied often. In fact, it is recommend that they be cleaned and emptied after every use. The collection container needs to be taken outside to be emptied to avoid spreading dust and dirt back out into the area that was just cleaned.
Bottom Line
Bagless vacuums are reasonably priced and do as good a job of cleaning as older models that have a bag. They have the advantage of not requiring the purchase of replacement bags for collection, but the containers must be emptied more frequently and you get exposed to dust when doing this.
