To earn a California real estate license, candidates must complete three required courses to qualify for the licensing test. After passing these courses, the student must take the licensing test, which is reviewed within two weeks of submission. Each candidate must also submit transcripts, fingerprints and a proof of residency. If you take all of the courses simultaneously, the process shouldn't take more than a year.
