<h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Crema Bordeaux Is Busy
Tumbled travertine is a basic yet sophisticated tile that blends seamlessly with granite and can vary in color and "busyness" from batch to batch the way that Crema Bordeaux can. Ceramic tiles in shades of shale and sand are also ways to accent the granite. Stainless steel tile is also an option that is clean and neutral but will also pick up the quartz deposits found in the Crema Bordeaux.
On the Other: Space Is a Consideration
If you have a bigger kitchen, you can get away with a more dramatic tile selection and not have the space appear claustrophobic. The medium gray, deep burgundy and browns that characterize the granite can be played up with a neutral tile broken up with dark reds, for example.
Bottom Line
A simple, neutral tile will complement the busier Crema Bordeaux granite in any kitchen, but if you're more daring, accenting with deeper shades of grays, browns and reds will also work well.
