Scoundrel is perfume for women by Revlon introduced in 1980, but has since been discontinued. It is still available occasionally on eBay and from certain specialty perfume retailers.
Features
Like all perfumes, Scoundrel has top notes and base notes, which come from the essential oils added to the perfume. Scoundrel's top note scents include mimosa, artemisia, cypress, jasmine and hyacinth.
Warning
Scoundrel also includes alcohol and petroleum-based fixatives. Be aware if you are sensitive to these chemicals, as they can aggravate conditions like allergies and asthma.
Significance
There are three main scent categories that perfumes fall into--floral, oriental and citrus. Scoundrel falls into the categories of floral and oriental.
Effects
Scoundrel is a very long-lasting scent. Its base notes are oriental, which means this is how they will smell when the perfume dries on your skin.
Fun Fact
Scoundrel perfume was named for the character played by Joan Collins on the 1980s television show Dynasty, Alexis Carrington.
