  • The security on a computer can be easily removed through one simple process. Because a majority of security systems are third-party applications, the uninstall process has been made by Windows to be a smooth one, although official Windows security can only be disabled.

    Removing Software

Third-party security software can intricately weave its way into any computer platform. It does so to keep the computer safe from viruses, intrusion and spyware. But even so, the Windows Control Panel allows for a quick and easy uninstall process. Exit the third-party security system on the computer and go to the "Start" tab and enter the "Control Panel." Inside the folder, enter the "Add/Remove Programs" application. Once the application loads all of the programs installed on the computer, find the security software and click "Uninstall" to begin the removal process. Follow the steps through the Windows Uninstall Wizard and allow the computer to reset. Once Windows starts back up, the security software will be removed.

    Disabling Software

With the Windows operating system, you are unable to delete its firewall. You can, however, disable it by right-clicking on the Windows Firewall icon at the bottom of the screen. Enter "Preferences" and under the Firewall option, click to disable it. You will need to confirm it, but once it has been confirmed, the firewall will be disabled.
