NZ plans to replace the traditional disabled rifles that cadets carry when marching on ANZAC day (commemorating fallen Australia and NZ soldiers) with wooden imitation models. What's your opinion of this?

    I think it is no problem, if the rifles were disabled in the earlier marches, then I cannot see any hassle with imitation rifles (as long as they painted them to resemble a rifle with some accuracy).

    The originals cost alot of money, and they're rare. So I guess I can see where they are comming from. I have nothing against this.
