Question

Help answer this question below.

I have a 1991 GMC Safari with 4.3L V6 recently its been running a little rougher than normal and the exhaust smells a little like rotten eggs. Could it just be in need of a good tune-up?

That is normally a sign of a clogged Catalytic Converter, which is an emissions component in the exhaust made most commonly of Platinum and a porcelain like substance. It's basicly there (in lamen's terms) to lower emmissions levels. Pick up a JC Whitney Catalog, or go online, they carry fuel additives which I personally have used to solve the 'Rotten egg' issue with GM vehicles.
