  • Dinintel® is a brand name for the medication clobenzorex, which is available with a prescription in a number of countries outside of the U.S. such as Mexico, Spain, France and Argentina. Although effective for weight loss, Dinintel® poses a risk for side effects.

    Significance

Inside your body, clobenzorex converts to a type of medication known as an amphetamine, reports the Taiwanese Department of Health. This means that Dinitel® poses similar side effects to amphetamine weight loss drugs sold in the U.S. such as phentermine.

    Types of Side Effects

Side effects associated with amphetamine weight loss drugs include increased blood pressure, blurred vision, dizziness, dry mouth, sleeplessness, nervousness and constipation.

    Interactions

It is not safe to combine Dinintel® with any other weight loss drugs, including diet supplements, reports the Mayo Clinic. In addition, amphetamine weight loss drugs may cause increased side effects when combined with alcohol.

    Risks

Amphetamine weight loss medications pose a risk for the onset of leaky heart valve disease as well as chemical dependence on the drugs, warns RxList. Dinintel® is a relatively new medication, and it is not know whether or not it may pose similar side effects.

    Considerations

Amphetamine weight loss drugs like Dinintel® are not safe for use during pregnancy or in people who suffer from heart disease, hypertension, glaucoma and hyperthyroidism, warns the Mayo Clinic. Dinintel® is not approved by the Food and Drug Administration for legal sale in the U.S., and there is no way of confirming the safety of the ingredients in any Dinintel® tablets purchased online from a foreign country.
