    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Schizophrenia affects practically all parts of the brain. When the frontal cortex is affected, people hear voices. According to radiology professor Manzar Ashtari, scientists have studied adolescents with schizophrenia as well as adults, and they have come to believe that schizophrenia starts in one area of the brain and spreads as people age.
