Here's my recommendation - don't buy one. Statistics show that your more likely to get a ticket while owning a radar detector then if you don't. Really - it was in an Allstate newsletter a while back.
Some troopers have a widget that tells them if you have a radar detector in your car - and I've heard they just love to screw with the guys who do have one.
Save your money - just follow the speed limits and relax while driving - arrive alive.

Screw radar detectors! Get a radar BLOCKER! make sure it's legal in your state though. Instead of telling you there is a cop ahead it will scramble their radar and laser speed monitering systems and get you off free! Also, since it's in your trunk, if you do get pulled over they aren't going to discriminate against you for having a Viper on your dash.
