It can. The same toxins in the pet foods can affect humans as well. I have not heard of any human deaths from the recall though. If you think about it, though, people who eat canned pet food probably buy the least expensive stuff available. These store brands are cheap, but they are by no means the least expensive.

It could, as the bacteria also affects humans.

Sure it will. The government takes care of the homeless by providing food at food centers. This is better than eating dog food. In case it has been contaminated, for sure, it will cause so much problems in terms of bacteria entering your system. Contaminated foods usually is associated with being spoiled characterized by foul odor. If you notice any sign, don't eat it. At the other side of it, older people should not be eating heavy foods because it will mess up their health. A good and balanced diet is usually advised.

The most powerful action you can do for yourself is get up and do something kindly for another who is suffering. The homeless afford us the ability to help. This act is good for the hungry and needy, but it is at least as beneficial for the doer. The trick to this is not to want anything for yourself. Imagine the change we could instantly cause in this planet if everyone chose to do one good deed per day. Just one.
