I have been telling the people around here for years that I will not buy food packaged or grown in China. We have a problem with Chinese crawfish being used instead of home grown crawfish. First of all, it is ruining one of our main industries, the crawfish farms. Second of all, they do not regulate their farms, processing plants, or shipping methods like we do here. If you buy Louisiana crawfish you can be assured that it is from unpolluted ponds; or, if they are wild, from clean water. They will have been processed and packed in sanitary conditions; and were shipped while still fresh and in a proper manner. We are just lucky it was only a few animals who got sick or died and not thousands of people.
