Help answer this question below.
We wash our own car, or more accurately, wait for the rain to be strong enough to wash it for us since it rains so often here. Well, except in the winter when it's snowing and then we all just give up and wait until springtime. We live out in the country and the nearest real carwash is 30 miles away. Don't even know how much it costs.
There was a warm spell yesterday. I carried the buckets out to the car and got it done, wash and wax.
It is still a good idea to take it into the self serve car wash occasionally. The high-pressure hoses do a good job of getting roadsalt and grit out of the underbody if you spray it out down there.
Two dollars? Sounds good to me. Where we live it's eight or nine dollars;)

And I'm pretty sure our car, wherever it is today, is getting a terrific bath. We've got minor flooding here. Almost lost our beaver dam and pond with the ice jams, melting water of 2 feet of snow and all this rain. Had a power outage, too :-) Not a good day. I hope our driveway over the creek doesn't get flooded if it rains more. Keith might have to wade home lol!!!
