Indigenous has the common meaning of *from* or *of the original origin* meaning that it will be from a particular culture or ethnic group..
Indigenous art therefore will refer to art that belongs to a specific culture, region or location!

Indigenous peoples are those with the earliest known historical connection to a particular region; e.g. the aboriginals of australia or the inhuits of the arctic. Therefor indigenous art would appear to mean the art created by people from native inhabitant cultures.
