Help answer this question below.
I believe all people are born free and equal (or should at least be).
Born in different circumstances with different issues to deal with, some have way more opportunities and that does not make them better people only luckier.
As long as a person does what they CAN to better lives for them selves and for others -what ever that may be- they are good people.
I look at these doctors who have gone to help in Haiti, and think wow! they really are amazing people.
One thing to remember is people can always change, for the better or for the worse.
Yes,but not the ones that THINK they are.
Everyone is born equal. Everyone recieves their first smack on the ass soon after that. No one is assured equal results with their after that.
At what?
"Better" is such a generic word, it can't really be used to describe differences in beings as dynamic as humans.
Sure, if you ask someone as vague a question as "Do you think some people are 'better' than others?", their social conditioning will likely make them answer "Of course not!" without even thinking about it.
But if you use more specific questions such as "Do you think some people are smarter/stronger/wiser/more deserving/more ethical/etc. than others?", the answer is almost always "Yes".
Which leads to the question - has social conditioning gone so far overboard that we will even deny fundamental realities, if their admission is widely disapproved-of?
By what determination is the question subject to a value system.
Computer programmers are better than everyone because they make so much money.
i hate to answer your question with a question, but better how. intellectually? phsyically? morally?
intellectually. yes there are some individuals who is smarter than others, but not all.
phsyically. yes there are some people who have mastered their bodies, and look as gods among men, and play as such too.
morally. yes they're are some so deprived of morals they do acts that are frowned apon in all societies.
only in our own minds....some may be better AT some THINGS or have better character traits....but as a whole, NO, no one is better than another except in their own egotistical, assuming, materialistic, minds......
Oh yes there are folks that think they are better than you. How about the boss ?
no.....
yes part of the people better, other part worse
some people are, some are not though. depends what you're using to compare them though.
yes ,,, the ones that dont think they are .
Sure. People come in all varieties...kind/mean, truthful/liars, helpful/hurtful. I think kind, truthful and helpful is "better" than mean, liar and hurtful. Happy Thursday! :)
Some people are nicer then others, I consider all people equal though.
Yes.
Depends upon the context, but serial killers are not better than a selfless caregiver.
