I am in college and a business major. In order to get ahead i wanted to learn a foreign language. I know that chinese is one of 3 main languages in the world, but i also heard that japanese is slowly becoming more used. Any ideas as too what language to learn? Thanks
You should learn Chinese since China is growing very fast and once you get the hang of it eventually learning Japanese would be easier since it`s all about prounounciations and learning Kanji would be easier since you would know the meaning in chinese and the english would help your prounounciations and most of the Kanji has the same meaning as Chinese.
It depends on whether you want to spend more time in Japan or China, or around Japanese people or Chinese people. Me, I'm learning Japanese because it's my passion, and Mandarin so I can talk to my boyfriend's parents.
I would learn Japanese.
People always say Chinese is more useful because of their up and coming business etc... But Nobody really wants to to business with a the Chinese, due to the shire amount of fake crap they produce, and try to pass off as the real thing... From a business point of view, Japanese is still a better language to learn.
Chinese may be widely spoken, But that's only because there are so many people in China.. NOT because it's a popular worldwide language. The Chinese language is never really going to spread from China on a Large scale... Unless they start invading other countries...
Both are OK! It depends on your situation. But I find that there are more and more people to learn Chinese!
