Help answer this question below.
Yes, I suppose I do. I get the house out of it's winter mode and into spring and summer readiness. Maybe it's because I can finally open up windows, get that fresh air inside, see more in all the corners due to the better light and sunshine, that all those things I've missed or couldn't really deal with all winter make me feel like going on a cleaning binge. Plus, we've had the wood stove going all winter and the dirt and dust from wood and ash are finished with and I can clean it out once and for all. It's also a good time to break out the outdoor furnishings, move the plants that lived indoors back out in the sunshine and get to all those annual jobs around the house. It makes me feel happy to do all those big jobs early in the year and just regular housework to do during the busy summertime.
Yes i do as did my mum, mums have a lot to answer for lol.
yes. it will happen soon.
No the house is kept clean as a norm, for me Spring cleaning involves Decorating and stuff and I do have to have that finished now the warmer weather is arriving.
So this year yes it will need doing
No, I clean year-round.
Yes because it is too cold to do some of the cleaning (ie. garage) in the winter so stuff builds up in there...
No. I have no time or patience or really care about it either way.
Yes
every spring I clean everything and air out the place
and every fall I do the same befor winter closes me in.
I do spring febreezing (I just spray some Febreeze on stuff), does that count?
While trying to 'clean' all year, some things can only be done once the weather warms up and stops snowing and raining.
It also improves your attitude. Spring, sunshine, new flowers and leaves, cleaning the windows, blinds, and drapes allows even more light to enter the home. making everything brighter and happier.
My answer - yes.
Yes!
We, as republicans, have tried to clean our spring several times. The only thang I kin see is that we have dirtied the water, down stream!
Must be a Demmokratik consparasy, iffin Ya knows whot I be a meanin!
A "true" believer, n all like thet!
I shore miss tha bush, predadint fur life, Ida Amin, Da Da Dubya!
Oh yes!Every year outside, have to clean out all the dead stems and vines from last year. And the fresh weeds from this year.Plus inside because now we can open windows and let fresh air in.But the biggest indoor cleaning for me is late fall.Have to get ready for Holidays and being inside all winter, mostly.
Kind of, but not intentionally. It's just that sunlight streaming in through the windows for the first time in months makes me want to attack and kill dust bunnies, cobwebs, and clean neglected areas. It's just so pretty outside, I want the inside of my house to be just as sparkly!
yes, but the bad weather outside has stopped my outside spruceing up
yeah, though I don't really like to do it, the house just looks better after the spring cleaning.
Yes. Because I only have enough hanging space in my closet for half of my wardrobe at a time, I have to pack half away at least twice a year...which leads to a lot of laundry, dry cleaning, and then that kindof starts the avalanche that leads to vacuuming, scrubbing the bathtub, etc...
my mumzy makes me-- cause i still live at home, but once i get out i'll continue the torture in my own home.
ummmmmmm I do a diffrent kind of spring cleaning witch I'm gonna start on after school. I clean, polish, and reorginize all of my weapons. I then look threw all my arbor and clothes and find my perfect fighting outfit for the rest of the year. I then make any repairs on my weapons and armor and customize some of my weapons and armor to fit my needs. I then ask my friends if they need any of theire weapons and armor cleaned. After I am finnished, I clean my house.
its stupid
Not really. I just keep up with the housework all year round. I guess the only thing I may do (which may be considered spring cleaning) is wash our window screens and spray down the house with the hose.
I'm usually too busy outside looking at the garden to do "spring" cleaning, but I'm a tiny bit lazy and tend to do a mini-spring-clean every 2-3 months.
Take note of the stuff that's really hard to clean, and do them more often i.e. scrubbing the bottom of the shower/bath. It's a really hard job if you leave it too long. If you do it once every 2 weeks instead of once every year, it will be easier than scratching your back.
Another thing I like to do is as I walk into a room, I mentally say "everything in it's place" and I quickly check if something's in the wrong room and take it out of the room if I find anything. For example, I just went to fill up my glass of water. On the way to the kitchen I noticed I'd left a hand towel on the dining table so on the way back, I grabbed it from the dining room and popped it back into the bathroom before I returned to my computer. It sounds silly, but if I left it there, and left everything else wherever it ends up, I'd have a lot of tidying up to do!
Doing little jobs now gives you heaps of time to be really lazy later on.
No, but for some reason I tend to do my most cleaning in the spring. Does not mean I am gay.
Not like I used to. I've gotten tired as I've gotten older.
When I lived on the farm, I learned the reason for a scrupulous spring and fall housecleaning. At the end of the winter you have to get the soot, ash and firewood dirt off of every surface in the house. At the end of summer, you have to get rid of the fly dirt. You also have to prep wardrobes and tools for the season. In spring you get ready for gardening and canning. In fall you get ready for butchering and crop storage. In winter you prep tools and implements for summer.
Now that I'm a "townie" I tend to try to clean heavy clean all the rooms through the winter so it doesn't get too out of control.
Cleaning in my house is an continuous ongoing process, not just at certain times. I usually do a "deluxe" job between Thanksgiving and Christmas, though.
Yes. I cleaned all around the home this weekend. My room hasn't been this clean in like 10 years.
Yes. Well, it sounds better than "reluctantly shifting the accumilated filth of several months".
Yeah, of course I do, i just love the fresh air and the nice smell I get round the house after the spring cleaning
Yes we do.
No.
Quelquefois...
Not really, usually it's when I get bored in spring, and not all at once so it's technically not spring cleaning
Not really, only out on the outside, we clean everything outside of the house, but not really anything on the inside.
