Seeing I couldn't had a description, I have to add it in an answer:

I try to cut back everywhere I can.

    - I walk to and from work.
    - I only take the bus when I have to (I don't have a buss pass, I use tickets).
    - I just bought a car 4 months ago. But I only use it when I need to (visit my mom, my brother, and long distances, etc.)
    - I go to all the grocery stores, pharmacies, and by what I need, and what is on sale.
    - I go on websites like www.smartcanucks.ca, www.save.ca and get freebies, deals, coupons, and enter contests, etc.
    - I buy second hand clothing, furniture, books, etc.
    - I ask for gift certificates for birthdays and Christmas, instead of material things.
    - I try to buy only what I need, when it comes to food. I treat myself only once in a while.
    - I never eat out. Eating out is only if I have too. Or a treat.
    - I put money aside in my savings account every month. Which then collect interest.
    - I try to use electricity in the evening: dehumidifier, air purifier, dishwasher (full load - always), washing machine (cold water also, clothes dryer (which I only use for 10 minutes a load, to fluff up my clothes, then I air dry them), etc.
    - Save electricity: I turn off lights and appliances when not in use, I turn off the shower when washing my hair and myself, then turn it back on to rinse, and take short showers (or, I try to take my showers at work), and also recharge my cell phone or book reader at work.
    - We have a cafeteria at work, so instead of buying apples, yogurt and vegetable juice for home, I eat them there (as soon as we have a half hour lunch, a small fee is taken off our pay check). Usually, when I eat lunch, I keep some of it, like the apple, yogurt or vegetable juice for snacks, for my 15 minute breaks.
    - A garage sale might something I will do this summer.

Anything else I could be doing? Thanks!

Pretend you are moving to a small place, like an RV . Look at all your "stuff" and decide what would fit in it. What things you really need, what things you are keeping just for the sake of keeping it. We did move to an RV and had 280 sq ft of living space. I quickly found what things I really needed and what were just things. I got rid of lots of clothes that I really didn't wear anyway and when I need something I do flea markets or thrift shops. It sounds like you have a good handle on your savings. It also looks like what you are doing is going green also. Good for you!!
