There is no dirty trick, no sneaky underhanded and illegal thing that Republicans will not commit to in an effort to deny folks much needed healthcare, all in the name of actually protecting the obscene profit margins of the Insurance and HMO companies.
The only folks who are against healthcare are the ones who are heavily invested in keeping folks suffering.
There really is no health care bill. What passed a vote in the house and what passed a vote in the senate are two different things. The people of USA do not trust government to take over everything, especially those for whom health care is or may become life or death. There are thousands of examples of how government botches such things. $6 billion in H1N1 vaccine programs, with no vaccine available for anyone until after the epidemic had passed, is just the latest example. The horse-trading, payoffs, and outright bribes paid with taxpayer money to buy off legislators would be an embarrassment to anyone with such a thing as principles. If this were such a wonderful idea, why would so much sleaze have to go into getting it passed?
