yeah, i guess if i crash and the paramedics need to get to me, they can break a window i am afraid someone will enter my car at a red light and try to "jack" me.

My car doors automatically lock. But, I did lock them when I had a car that didn't do that.

It locks automatic which is a good thing. But if it didn't I would. You just don't know what could happen, it is a crazy world we live in.

Yes, it would be scary if I accidentally open the door if the doors are unlocked.

I dont drive...but when im a passenger i sure do. i have visions of flying against the door and having it come open...spilling me out onto the pavement.

My 2002 model, no. My 2006 model automatically locks the door when you put it in drive.

I drive a convertible, so what would be the sense of locking the doors. Kind of like rolling up the windows if it starts to rain.

it used to not matter to me but my sisters friendstopped at some railroad tracks one time and some guy (assumingly homeless cause he was older, unkempt, and dressed ragedly) ran up to her car and tried to get in, when he realized the doors were locked he stared banging on the car screaming at her untill she drove off. ever since she told me, ive always kept my doors locked.

Hmmm...I think my doors lock automatically once I get driving over a certain speed.

Unlocked. One vehicle I have locks them at 30km/h, but I don't do it manually. I like to think that I'm a) observant enough to notice if something was happening and b) able-bodied to the point that I could defend myself in such a situation.

Locked. That's what I was taught in drivers ed. It has something to do with unlocked doors open much easier in a crash so you go flying out.

Not usually but if I need to go to and hopefully through da hood, then it is a quick lock down. One press of the button and all the doors get locked ASAP.

Mine lock when I turn on my electrical system and I make sure they stay that way.

I live in a place where it's safe to leave your house doors unlocked and sleep with the windows open at night and it's safe to drive with the car doors unlocked. But, my car automatically locks the doors when I start to drive, so yes I drive with the doors locked.
