Where I live, a permit is only allowed in the state it is issued in, with some time restraints, and the driver must have someone over 21 in the vehicle. I would not drive out of state till you get your license

Remember one thing.... One does not need a license to drive. One needs a license if one gets pulled over.

I just got my learner's permit in Ohio as well and have been searching for the same answer.... check out this website it seems to have accurate information: http://members.tripod.com/northstardrivingsch/id19.htm scroll down to the bottom and there is a chart of the different state's rules
