Most of us know our Sun signs but how many people know their Moon sign or Rising sign, or in which houses are the planets at time of birth?

• I entirely agree few people know what the houses and planet positions mean and to mention positive or retrograde leaves them totally confused but I think it would at least help to know a Moon and rising sign.
  Very few will ever have had a chart worked out mathematically.

• I had my full horoscope worked out in 1985, four years after discovering star signs (or more accurately, Sun signs). All the various planetary positions and aspects simply enhanced various Pisces traits from my Sun sign.
  
  For example, the Moon trine Venus enhances the Piscean sensitivity and appreciation of beauty. Saturn square Neptune focuses on the Piscean's often unrealistic aspirations, and how these are thwarted by adverse circumstances beyond my own control. Cancer on the ascendant enhances the Piscean's already long memory, because both Pisces and Cancer have long memories (both Water signs, you see).
  
  The "negative" traits are often just the shadow side of the positive. For example, Taurus has a reputation for being stubborn. Stubbornness is only the shadow side of persistence, which is a positive thing when used constructively.

• You are an Aquarius (Sun sign), with Pisces ascendant and Moon in Scorpio?
  
  You may not readily recognise yourself in the average star-sign text-books. However, you may very well enjoy being a bit different.
  
  Whilst the signs of Pisces and Scorpio have one or two things in common with each other, they have very little (if anything at all) in common with Aquarius.
