Why does my cat put her but up in the air and make a wierd whine crossed with a "broken" purr?

    sounds like your cat is in heat! so no need to worry..the first time i noticed my cat was in heat i actualy thought she was sick or something untill i spoke to someone and i found out she just horny lol it should only last for a few days

    It is in heat, and it is instinctively positioning itself to receive a mounting male. The horniness is agonizing. Getting sleep is difficult when that is going on. Now you know why people just let the damn cat outside, even knowing it's going to make a litter.
    I suggest endure the situation for the necessary few days, then take it to the vet for its spaying.
