There are a number of conditions that must be met if you would like to find a lost cell phone with a GPS. First, the phone must be on. Second, the phone must have GPS capability and have that function activated. Third, the cell phone provider must offer a feature in which a phone's location can be mapped through GPS. Fourth, the cell phone must be in a car or outdoors where a satellite can pick up its GPS signal. If all of these conditions exist, the phone's location can be pinpointed within about 20 feet.
