What's the best way to get your kitchen sponge to stop being smelly? Do you boil it? Put it in the dishwasher?

I run mine through the dishwasher with every cycle or so...

If it's starting to smell throw it out. You an put the new on through the dishwasher, often.

My sponges never get to the smelly point. They're pretty cheap, so I just replace them from time to time.

Use pure (3%) hydrogen peroxide which is sold everywhere,grocery stores etc. It not only kills the smell it kills the bacteria.

either buy a new one or stick in teh microwave for about 10 seconds. Watch out... it gets HOT! But, it will kill the stink.
