  • System security software can be just as detrimental to your computer as not having any at all. Even some of the most reputable security software can affect your computer in adverse ways.

    Remove the Unwanted Software

Sometimes the best approach is to completely remove all security software from your computer and start from scratch, using only the highest-quality programs. Removing an unwanted security program is very simple. From your computer desktop, select "My Computer." From the next list of icons, select "Control Panel." The next icon menu will list all the capabilities and options of the Control Panel. Select the icon that is labeled "Add/Remove Programs." You will now see a comprehensive list of all removable programs that are on your hard drive. Find the offensive security program and select it. Click on "Remove" at the bottom, right corner of the page. This will make the Add/Remove wizard delete and destroy the unwanted program. Said program is now removed from your hard drive, and you can search for a replacement or do without permanently.
