  • <h4 class="dechead">On One Hand: Window Deflectors Alter the Air Stream

Much like a bug deflector at the front of a vehicle, a window deflector alters the way that wind flows over your window. This means that wind is pushed out around your window so that when the window is down, the noise of the wind is lessened. Additionally, rain will also be deflected out around this slipstream.

On the Other: They Won't Stop Everything

Exceptionally strong winds or particularly forceful rain can still make its way into your window. Additionally, if the wind or rain is not coming toward the front of your vehicle, it may not be deflected by the window deflector.

    Bottom Line

Window deflectors do serve the purpose for which they were created. Don't be fooled, though. They're just a small hump of acrylic that can only deflect so much.
