If a hair remover is meant to form a bond with the hair before pulling it out, as hot wax does, then that type of hair remover will remove blackheads. The blackhead bonds with the hair remover just like hair would, and it's then pulled out of the skin, unclogging the pore.
On the Other: Some Types Won't
Hair removal products that aren't meant to loosen up the pores of the skin won't remove blackheads. In fact some products or procedures, such as shaving, might make the problem worse and get the blackheads infected, causing acne.
Bottom Line
While some hair removal products may also remove blackheads, they're meant primarily to remove hair. To remove blackheads, you should use a product specifically designed for that purpose.
