On the Other: The Reduction is Small
According to Danny Brown of Flow Honda in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, its going to be a very small decrease in emissions, usually less than 1 percent.
Bottom Line
Changing spark plugs will help emissions and thereby help in a smog test; however, the change is probably not enough to make the difference between a passing and failing performance.
