The characteristic that a background check will reveal about someone is how honest he is. This is because employment history, educational background and other information will reveal if someone is being honest about their past.

A background check will reveal what type of personality potential employees have. If they are honest and upfront that means they have the kind of personality that puts others before themselves.
Considerations
Before any kind of background check is conducted someone must give an employer his written consent to conduct the investigation.
