  • Email Spy Monitor is a commercial spyware program that monitors and records POP3 and some web-based email conversations. This application is usually installed by employers in a small business environment, but can also be used to protect children from online predators or to spy on a household member. However, if you believe that you have this application installed on your computer without your knowledge or consent, you can always remove it from your PC even if you can't access the program.

    Delete Registry Entries

There are two components of the Email Spy Monitor that you need to get rid of: the registry entries it has created hidden within the system registry and files and folders containing associated files. To remove the registry entries, you need to start the Windows Registry Editor by going to the "Start" menu. Click on "Run" (type "Run" and hit "Enter" after clicking on "Start" in Windows 7 and Vista), type "regedit" and click on "OK" to launch the utility. Navigate to and delete the following registry keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run adsnwe HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\shareddlls HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run adsnwe Delete only these entries and nothing else to avoid damage to your operating system.

    Remove Files and Folders

Now that you have cleaned up the registry, you can start searching for the Email Spy Monitor files. Go to the "Start" menu, click on "Search," select the "All Files and Folders" option, and click on the drop-down menu to choose the hard drive. Type "emailspymonitor.exe" and press "Enter" to begin search. Delete all of the found results and repeat for "adsnwe.exe," "mxpvct22.dat," "mxpvct23.dat," "mxpvct25.dat" and "emlappini.ini." Restart your computer to completely remove the application.
