HDMI stands for high-definition multimedia interface. Cables that are classified as HDMI are capable of providing an interface between any audio or video device, such as a DVD or Blu-Ray player and any monitor, such as a flat-screen or HD television.
Better Quality
HDMI cables offer better video and audio quality than the usual analog-to-digital converters. The sharper, crisper image is most noticeable at higher resolutions, such as 1080p.
Simplicity
HDMI requires only one cable. Therefore, you can eliminate the tangled mess of cords and cables of the past. An HDMI cable is also easy to remove and hook up when upgrading your home entertainment center.
Adaptability
HDMI cables save their owners quite a bit of hassle when it comes to programming their TVs. An HDMI cable will allow your device to automatically deliver the optimum format for the display to which it is attached. Previously, the owner would have to configure the settings.
Lasting Technology
HDMI cables have a bandwidth of 10Gbps. HDTV uses only one-half of the available bandwidth. Therefore, HDMI cables will more-than-adequately serve any new audio and video technologies in the future.
Use with PC
HDMI cables are the only cables which allow PCs to deliver media content to other devices. HDMI also allows HDTVs to be connected to digital PC monitors.
