Dr. Theodore R. Herazy of the Peyronie's Disease Institute (PDI) endorses neprinol as a good treatment for Peyronie's sufferers. He states that neprinol breaks down the scar tissue that causes Peyronie's disease and allows the body to eliminate this tissue.
On the Other: Studies are Lacking
The Peyronie's Society states that they know of no clinical studies that demonstrate neprinol's effectiveness or lack thereof in treating the condition. Studies are lacking in both the acute and chronic versions of Peyronie's.
Bottom Line
The effectiveness of neprinol as a treatment for Peyronie's disease is still a topic of debate. If you are considering neprinol use, talk to your doctor first. Be sure to tell him about all medical conditions you have and all medications you take, including non-prescription and herbal remedies. This will avoid harmful drug interactions and worsening of medical conditions.
