Why do people always make fun of and condemn Pentecostals?

Well, I am 54 years old and I have never once heard anyone condemn or make fun of Pentecostals, so I guess it is all in your imagination.

Perhaps 80 years ago some people might have but not in my lifetime and I am almost 60. They might have been thought of at one times as "backwards" and maybe the talking in tongues raised some ridicule.

If they do it's out of ignorance.

I have been to many Pentecostal churches and a member of some. They were called "Holy Rollers" at one time because they clapped their hands and ran the aisles giving thanks to the Lord God and Jesus Christ rather noisily. Although I now do not accept many of their beliefs I still respect them and call them brothers and sisters in Christ.
