People who have been raised in the Church and been told all of their lives that sex outside of marriage is wrong who then commit adultery and/or fornication are able to repent and return to full fellowship in the Church. Would we hold someone who may not have been taught to live a chaste life to a higher standard? We believe in the principle of repentance. You will have to commit to living the law of chastity* from this point on and as long as you do this and keep this commitment, then there is no reason why you can't be baptized go to the temple and enjoy all of the privileges and responsibilities of membership. *I.e. no sex with anyone to whom you are not legal and lawfully married.
