    They both do the same. No difference in video or audio quality. Main differences are..

    Blu-Ray has a greater storage (more content etc)
    HD DVD uses the same manufacturing process as DVD and is therefore cheaper to manufacture than Blu-Ray.

    In the end, the winner will be the most popular.
    My bet is on Blu-Ray, but it could go either way.

    There are a bunch of technical details, but it really comes down to the companies. Microsoft backs HD DVD, Sony backs Blu Ray.

    Blu Ray and HDDVD are two similar products, but Blu ray is a little better, and which ever one proves to be more popular will be the way it's made.
