it's okay just to wipe clean and dry and then put on a diaper. I never used baby powder myself when i had babies. I guess if your baby isn't sensitive to the baby powder then i would just go ahead and use it. Baby powder smells so good.
Of course it is okay to just use wipes and then change the diaper. Some babies are allergic to power.
Talc helps to reduce moisture which helps to reduce diaper rash. If the baby is not prone to diaper rash you do not need to use talc (baby powder).
Mind talc doesn't only absorb potty fluids, it also absorbs moisture from perspiration. Diapers being as thick as they are do lead to a little bit of perspiration. they also lead to cloth diapers being a bit more comfortable to wear. I think most disposables are now made in a manner to where they are pretty comfy to wear requiring no added stuff.
i have a 6 month old nephew and we dont and he is fine. as long as u use diaper rash cream weekly you should be good
