Go to the doctor. You may have an inner ear infection.
Usually you don't get sudden dizziness when you need glasses.
If you are moving your head when you look up or down you have a problem with the inner ear - most probable is an inner ear infection.
Glasses will not fix that.
Optical Vertigo is usually a life long problem (where just movement of your eyes can cause dizziness) and as far as I know there is no sudden onset of it. See your General Practitioner (Doctor) to have a look at your ears, nose and throat (for signs of sinus and/or ear infection).
