How and where does water in coconuts get in?

    The coconut produces the water or milk itself,If a coconut is left for a while the water dries up and a bulb thingy(I have no idea of its name) is produced inside the hollow space (using the water in the procces)untill there is no more space left,we can actually eat this bulb thingy.When the coconut falls off the tree,the coconut begins to grow a shoot then some roots(by this time,the coconut is completely brown).The coconut feeds off this Bulb thing untill it can find its own food.

    *NOTE*-I dont study anything that concerns coconuts nor did I use another website,I am sharing only what I have seen so If any of the information contained in my answer is wrong,Please inform me.

    The coconut is a seed. A seed is a lot like an egg. The water of the young coconut is like the white of an egg. It is nourishment for the seed. The coconut uses the moisture while it lies around trying to find somewhere to sprout. That is why old coconuts have little water in them.
    BTW Coconut milk is not the clear liquid in the young coconut. It is what is made by soaking the flesh of the older coconut.
