Pick up a inexpensive RCA remote, it probably won't have all the functions on it but look for one with a button marked 'Input'. It will cycle through any of the external inputs.
Thanks. Forgot to mention that I used the menu button on the TV itself and there's no way to switch to video mode from the menu. May have to end up getting a universal remote but before I do, I wanted to see if I'm overlooking something.
Look for a 'menu' button on the TV itself. Or get a $6.00 universal remote.
Initial televisions how do i use it with a universal remote without the original remote to the T.V.?

You're reading I was given an RCA Guide Plus Gold Gemstar TV with no remote. Is there a manual way to switch to video mode so I can use my DVD player?
