I have a new desktop but it is in another part of the state. How can I get it transported to my current residence safely? No one can bring it with them. Can I have it sent through the mail? What's the best way to get it here?

If the computer's original box and packaging is still available, most of your problems are solved. The proper packaging (form fitting styrofoam) is enough to protect the case and its contents from normal transport. Same goes for the monitor and all your peripherals.

If you have no original packaging anymore, that makes things tougher. If you use good padding, you should be OK.

By the way, using a professional courier service is no guarantee that your computer won't get damaged en route.

No, Have someone box it up using bubble wrap and have it delivered by FedEx or UPS
