Help answer this question below.

I am looking for a song sung in the late 60's to the early 70's

All that I can remember is that it is sung as a young man that has died prematurely and he is trying to say sorry to his mom and dad.

He lyrics imply of as if looking down from above.

I think there is a black sheep lyric in it but that was 40 years ago when I was 3-4.

    I think that was before my time but.. sounds like you may be talking about a song called Seasons in the Sun. I couldn't tell you who sings it though +like

    Might be a little late for what you're looking for, but there's a song by Bad Company called Shooting Star that's a bit like that. "Johnny died one night, died in his bed, bottle of whiskey, sleeping tablets by his head..." Chorus is something like, "Don't you know that you are a shooting star ... etc... and all the world is gonna love you just as long, as long as you are a shooting star." Possibly... lol. Just know my Mum likes it, rather sad if you listen to it all the way through.

    I suppose the bohemian rhapsody almost fits that description, sung by queen, or freddie mercury if that's who you mean (who died at age 45)
