Help answer this question below.

I have two parakeets one male and the other one female and I think my female parakeet is the one that has leid more eggs than any parakeet. The first time she laid 4 eggs the second time she laid 8 eggs and third 8 eggs and now 9 eggs. does anyone bits me

    There are many other hens that have laid that many or many more eggs. Some can't seem to stop, but it's very unhealthy for them to keep laying eggs without stopping to incubate them. It drains them of calcium and can make them ill and die.

    Its not uncommon for birds to lay large numbers of eggs, but it is rare for a bird to lay a large clutch and manage to succeed in hatching and rasing them all from chick to adult!

    Birds that are laying large clutches and laying eggs frequently can easily get into serious medical problems as a result of the toll that creating eggs takes on the bird's body.
