    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

Atoms are the fundamental units of matter. Atoms generally measure between 0.1 to 0.5 nanometers in diameter. Different types of atoms have different weights, but most atoms are about the same size. Atoms are composed of protons, neutrons and electrons.
