    Professionally Researched. (What's this?)

In Ohio, a notary cannot serve as a witness in the signing of a will. The notary's seal and signature merely attest to the validity of the signatures of the parties involved. Signers must produce corroborating documents verifying their identity and sign the document in the notary's presence.

Yes they will. In fact if a will is not drawn up by an attorney and is self made this is one of the best ways to make sure it is considered legally valid by having it notarized. Then it is best to have the will registered. Although the notary is just verifying the signatures on the will this is a good start before registering the will especially without legal aid.
